The Wiggles Show

The Wiggles Show

The Wiggles came to Knoxville

Randy treated Nana, the boys, and me to a very special evening today. He got us tickets to see the Wiggles Live at the Knoxville Coliseum. Not only did he get us tickets - he got us FRONT ROW tickets! We also invited our neighbors, Missy and Braden to go along. Braden is about 2 weeks older than the boys and comes over to play with them. We purchased the boys some T-shirts on ebay that had the Wiggles on them as well as their names. This was the first live show ever for Micah and Carson and they were mesmerized and frozen in Nana's and my laps. They took it all in but weren't eager to get down just in case someone or something came down off the stage. They seemed to enjoy it though and the show was great! We watch the Wiggles everyday from the moment we get up until our heads hit the pillow at night. Micah and Carson know all of the characters and love the Big Red Car. Here are a few of the highlights as well as a slideshow from our fun evening. Thank you Randy for the tickets!

After the show began...

Anthony Wiggle was on our side the most but I got a shot of Jeff falling asleep and a few of the other characters as well.

While we were at the Wiggles Show, Randy took Corbyn out on a date. They went to see The Bee Movie. They had a great time as well.

Upward Soccer Awards

Corbyn's team, the Lady Longhorns finished well in their Upward Soccer season. Corbyn had a blast learning to play soccer and especially enjoyed the thrill of competition (Randy and I are so excited). We have been hoping that Corbyn would become interested in sports and our prayers have been answered. She told me the other day that she is no longer a "girly girl" because she is now a "sports girl" - woohoo! Here are a few shots from her awards night.

We've already been through basketball evaluations and look forward to our next "sports girl" season. Corbyn has become a "gym rat" by hanging out every afternoon with the middle school girl's team that I am helping to coach this year. She is absorbing all of the sports lingo and moves and is eager to know more. She loves the comraderie with the team as well. This exposure to basketball has been a great experience and I hope she continues to play. I'll keep you posted on her season as well as mine.

Halloween 2007

As is tradition, the gang headed to Nana's house for their annual trick-or-treating excursion. Randy, Tracy, and David took them for treats while Nana dished out candy. Corbyn was a rocker kitty-cat, Elijah was Obi Wan Kenobi, and the boys were pirates. Carson digs the hat - Micah, not so much.

The boys got to ride throughout their trip and enjoyed seeing decorations. There was a bit of upset however when they weren't allowed to play basketball at every single driveway they visited. For those of you who know the boys well, Carson particularly took exception to the no basketball at the neighbor's house rule.

All in all it was a pretty great Halloween. Mommy wasn't there because she had a basketball game but Nana, Daddy, Tracy and Dave more than made up for me. Thank you Tracy and Randy for taking the Halloween photos.
